Pet Shop Boys - Monkey Business
I don't have a whole lot of feelings towards the latest Pet Shop Boys album "Hotspot". I guess this is the best song, which isn't saying a whole lot. I do love the video though, so I'm sharing it here.
And someone please strike "Wedding in Berlin" off the face of the Earth. That shit is terrible.

Heavenly - My Top 10 Part 1
Would I love indie pop as much as I rabidly do if it wasn't for Heavenly?? Probably, but it wouldn't have happened as fervently as it did once I heard the amazingness that is "Space Manatee". Heavenly is just the essence of indie pop. Amelia Fletcher is its queen. They are awesome.

Pet Shop Boys - Decide
Here's to hoping the Pet Shop Boys mix it up and say "OOOPS we meant to put out all the B-sides as the album, not those mediocre lead singles we've been dropping!!"
Their new album "Hotspot" will be released in a few weeks. Here's the way better b-side to 2nd single "Burning the Heather"!

Brorsson & Munther - Dark Clouds
When dear friend of Ooberus Oblivious André (of Stars in Coma-fame) asked if I wanted to share his new electro pop side project Brorsson & Munther, I was very excited. Then I heard the brilliant pop song that they've released and I was even more excited! Delicious synth/electropop featuring SiC live bassist Joel on vocals! A great way to start 2020!!
Here's the bio for the project. Can't wait for this EP!
"The Brorsson & Munther project initially started in 2016 when André Brorsson had a song idea he was unable to finish for his principal musical outlet Stars in Coma. Brorsson asked Joel Munther, live bass player of Stars in Coma, to write some lyrics for the idea. Munther, with a background in the Swedish psych folk scene, quickly came up with some lines about glitches in the system and failing love, and the result became hooky disco pop banger "Dark Clouds."
However, it wasn't until the fall of 2019 that the duo decided to take it to the next level and record a five-song EP, which will see the release in the spring of 2020. Combining their love for digital and analog synthesizers, Brorsson & Munther channeled the most melodic segment of the 80s synth pop era, while simultaneously incorporating their love for classic soft rock artists such as the Carpenters, Paul Williams and the Poppy Family."
