Sea Lion from Sweden released her debut album "Desolate Stars" a few days ago and it's beautiful.  Quiet, emotive, subtle, dreamy and one of my favorite adjectives:  lovely.

New Order - Restless

New Order is back with a new album, "Music Complete"!  It's out at the end of September and features a tantalizing little group of collaborators like Elly Jackson from La Roux, Iggy Pop, Brandon Flowers and Tom Rowlands from The Chemical Brothers!

Hi-Fashion - Mother Sister Father Brother

Unconditional love isn't always easy to come by, but I certainly unconditionally love this new track by Hi Fashion!

Charles Perry - Stranger to Love

Though released in February, I just discovered this song this week.  I immediately fell in love with the track's bouncy synth vibe and Charles Perry's vocal delivery is perfectly soulful.  This is the first single from an upcoming album.

Peaches - Close Up

Peaches is one filthy mofo and I love it!  I mean, the opponent with the doodoo!  The one with the breast milk attack!! WOW!
Her new album "Rub" comes out the last week of September!!

Tei Shi - See Me

One of this years best EPs is Tei Shi's "Verde" and this is one of its lovely tracks!

Lemonade - Dancer on the Shore

Lemonade released a new single and it features Dee Dee from Dum Dum Girls on guest vocals!  Summery pop goodness!

Computer Magic - Be Fair

This is synth pop!!!  Computer Magic is releasing her debut US LP "Davos" in October, a few days before her LA show at Club Bahia!!  Me = HAPPY!!!

Allie X - Bitch

"Bitch" is from last year but it is officially on Allie X's 2015 album "COLLXTION I", which is where I first heard it!  I'm your bitch, you're my bitch, boom boom!  YES!!

The Drums - There Is Nothing Left

FYF is today and I get to see The Drums!!  Here's the latest video for a track from their 2014 album "Encyclopedia"!  Gotta love Bigfoot's big solo dance near the end!

Young Galaxy - Body

Young Galaxy's "Ultramarine" was one of 2013's big stand-out albums.  Fantastic stuff!  They are returning with their latest album "Falsework" in late October.  "Body" is the first sampling from the album and it is such pure dance that I must shake it...now!

Vök - Waterfall / If I Was

Vök is a very nice band from Iceland, making chilly synth grooves that warm my heart & ears ever so.  Their latest EP "Circles" is excellent and features both of these tracks:

V V Brown - Shift

Seems V V Brown is dropping the Brown from her name, but it's still being used all over the place, so I'm just not sure how to address her...yet!  No matter what name she is going by, she's still making damn good music as is evidenced by the awesome new single "Shift" from her upcoming album...

Brandon Flowers - Can't Deny My Love / I Can Change

I've been meaning to post this one for a LONG time but keep forgetting.  Every time either of these songs comes up on my "Best of 2015" playlist,  I remember that I MUST post these tracks!!  While I've never been a fan of The Killers or of Brandon Flowers' first solo album, I can't deny my love for his newest solo album "The Desired Effect"!!

Shura - 2Shy

I'm very behind on this one as this single came out in April, but nonetheless, it is amazing and tucked away in my current favorite tracks of 2015 playlist!!
Dealing with an oft felt emotion of shyness, this song really hits home for me!  Shura, girl, get that album done!!  This song is taken from her "White Light" EP which came out last month.

The Dears - I Used to Pray for the Heavens to Fall (video)

The Dears' music has always packed pure emotion.  Their new video is a beautifully animated lyric video, very similar to one of my favorite (and most depressing) videos of all time "22: The Death of All the Romance".  Thanks a lot Dears, now I'm sad!  But wait, I'm happy again in the knowledge that their new album "Times Infinity Volume One" is only about a month and a half away!!

Molly Nilsson - Lovers Are Losers

Molly Nilsson is back with her new album "Zenith" which was supposed to come out in May but we are getting it in September!  Don't forget she'll be touring with Canadian poppers TOPS this fall!!  Here's the first single from Zenith....

Workin' as a Waitress in a Cocktail Bar

Hilarious is all I can say.  This has been out for a couple of weeks, but I still can't get enough...especially of the auto-tuned "COCK-COCK-COCK" part.  Yes, brilliant.

After a couple of solo albums from their leader Geoffrey O'Connor, Crayon Fields are finally back with an album as a full band to bring us more indie pop delight!!  Their new album "No One Deserves You" is out at the end of September!!!

Young Ejecta - Into Your Heart

Buika - Volver, volver

Buika is releasing a new album this October entitled "Vivir sin miedo".  She just released the first, very nice (and a bit more poppy than normal) title track.  But instead of posting that, I realized that I've never posted what is one of the most gorgeous renditions of the beautiful song "Volver, volver" that I have ever heard.  Using the sparsest of instrumentation, Buika's voice elevates this track to such glorious heights that I get emotional every time I hear it.  Just watching how she feels the song when performing it live is a thing of true beauty.  Here are both a live & recorded version of this masterpiece...

Stars in Coma - Your Kindness

Stars in Coma have consistently made some of the best indie pop coming out of Sweden for the past 10 years!  I still remember the first time I heard the band.  "Drifting Nights in Moonshine Heights" sold me and I've been with them ever since.  Here they are with a brand new sparkling and superb piece of pop brilliance.  Not sure if this is just a one-off single or if this means another new album soon.  Hopefully the latter, but if not, just love the magic of this magical single!

Baio - Sister of Pearl

Baio (aka as Chris Baio aka cousin of Scott Baio) is a member of Vampire Weekend.  He's releasing his debut solo album this year.  It's called "The Names".  Here's a bouncy little track from it.  I love his knee bend dance moves!
