Just discovered this little gem by Nashville based artist Grave Pool who is releasing his debut album "Mnemonics" in a few weeks on the awesomely named 80s Ladies Records (who I also just discovered).  Looks like I have some exploring to do.

Just found this gem from last year!  Joel Ford created this bumping track featuring the awesome vocal's of Leanne Macomber from Ooberus-fave Ejecta (or as they are now known Young Ejecta!)  Remember, Young Ejecta's new mini-album "The Planet" is due for release very soon and is one of my most highly anticipated releases for 2015!!

I just came across this cover last week and I love it!  I love the original and they didn't stray far from its greatness, so that helps!  Man Without Country are releasing their sophomore album "Maximum Entropy" on January 19th!  I'm excited!

Battery Operated Orchestra - Wish List / Fluoro Sushi

I was befriended on the Facebook in November by someone named Boo Elektrisch and I had no idea who this person was.  Being they had a cute black kitty as their profile picture, I accepted and didn't look much into it.
Saturday, I realized that Boo is part of an awesome synth pop band named Battery Operated Orchestra (or BOO, for short...duh me) from Brighton.   I love when this stuff happens.

Fotonovela - Romeo & Juliet

Fotonovela released this fantastic pop nugget right before the new year in 2013!  It was from their sophomore album and features vocals from James New (of the awesome band Mirrors who released one of the greatest albums of 2011 in "Lights and Offerings"!!)
This song is pop perfection.  I also hope for some new music from Mirrors because we need brilliant new tunes from them as well!!

Souvenir Stand - Only Talkin' to Myself

Nice little bedroom pop single from New York group Souvenir Stand.  They released the "Surprise" 7" single in November which features the song below as well as the lovely "Fall".  Get it at their bandcamp!

Marina and the Diamonds - Immortal

Marina is releasing a new song every month leading up to her upcoming album "FROOT" due in early April.  "Immortal" is her third offering and it's quite lovely, even if the subject matter is quite sad.

Silver Swans - Desire

Taken from Silver Swans' excellent album "Touch" (my #4 album of 2013), "Desire" is a perfect synth pop nugget of joy!   The video is set to scenes from the 1960 movie "Tormented" by Bert I Gordon.
