Sometime

Now this is what I need my Icelandic music to sound like! Sometime are from Reykjavík, just like pretty much every other band I know from Iceland. Soon, they will be releasing their 2nd album "Music From the Motion Picture Acid Make-Out" and I am quite excited. Their debut "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" was ace stuff! Libby Gery - You're Still My Baby (Tigerheart)

Just saw "Sound of My Voice" today and while its ending leaves things a little up in the air, I still really enjoyed it. The closing credits feature Hot Chip's "Thieves in the Night" which is awesome, and inside the movie the following track is featured to beautiful perfection. It's by Libby Gery, whom I can find very little info about, other than that she guest vocals on the last Vampire Weekend album. She has two songs in the movie, and this is one. I can't find the other, but I want them both, I want them now!

The Most Beautiful Voice in Music

That's right...it's Sonya Aurora Madan, formerly of Echobelly fame...now of Calm of Zero. The live performances below make me all goosebumpy and fuzzy warm. I've loved Sonya's voice for so long and every time I hear her sing, she solidifies herself as my all-time favorite! Not to mention, lyrically, she blows my mind!

iamamiwhoami - idle talk

This has to be the sweetest sounding iamamiwhoami track yet! And they've just announced that "kin" (their debut album) will be released on CD/DVD and VINYL!!! That's due on June 11 and I want it all!!! Looks like we only have 3 tracks left to go.

inDIeVA Alert! - Soso

It's been too long since I've posted about an inDIeVA...
Soso is a Swedish pop artist. She says she dumped her major label and is giving us her album for FREE!! How nice of her. The album is called "T.T.I.D.S.D.I.E.U.I.C". The first song I've heard from it, "Happy People (Everything Was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt)", is pretty lovely and is definitely attaching itself to my heart's ears with each listen. You can download the album HERE at her website, where you can also read her letter to us, giving us some insight into why she's doing what she's doing. Pretty great!

Oh boy this is good! Rosemary are friends of Ooberus-fave The Golden Filter. Rosemary's debut EP, "A Persian Tale", has been released via The Golden Filter's own label, Perfectly Isolated. You can download the whole EP for FREE over at Rosemary's webpage! It is very good...I promise!
