It's been a few years since we last heard from Sad Day for Puppets and the Swedish indie darlings have returned with their newest album "Come Closer"!
"Cold Hand" is taken from the album and it's a nice dose of the guitar pop we love from them!

Synth-pop lovebunnies Soft Metals are also releasing their sophomore album this year!  "Lenses" is due for release on July 17th and lead single "In the Air" makes me very eager to hear more!

Blouse - No Shelter

Blouse are returning with the follow-up to their awesome debut album and it is called "Imperium"!
"No Shelter" is the first offering and while it isn't at all what I was expecting, it is just as catchy as what I love!
"Imperium" is due out in September on Captured Tracks.

Hot As Sun - When We Fell

Hot As Sun released their debut album "Night Time Sound Desire" earlier this year and it is poptastic!  Reminds me a lot of The Submarines, and that is not a bad thing!  

The Postal Service - A Tattered Line of String

So great to see The Postal Service continuing to put out new videos for "new" songs from  their "Give Up" reissue.  I hope they play more shows so I can see them!!

The Secret History - Johnny Panic (Forget Everything)

The Secret History have finally released their sophomore album "Americans Singing in the Dark" after a long, long wait.  Here's the lead-off track from the album and it sounds just lovely!

Murray A. Lightburn - Motherfuckers

Excellent stuff here from The Dears' leading-man Murray Lightburn!  He is set to release his solo debut "MASS:LIGHT" this summer and I absolutely cannot wait!  He is one of my favourite voices in music and I love this video featuring Murray and his two lovely kids, Neptune & Apollo!

Melody's Echo Chamber - Some Time Alone, Alone

"Some Time Alone, Alone" is my fave song from Melody's Echo Chamber's self-titled debut album from 2012.  Good to see she's having such a good time at this carnival...

Temples

I don't typically gravitate to this genre of music (neo-psych as they tag themselves), but both of these tracks that I've just heard from Temples are very lovely!  I especially love the newest single "Colour to Life"!  Temples will be playing Latitude this year as well, so maybe I'll even get a  chance to see them live next month!  YAY!

Joe Goddard feat. Mara Carlyle - She Burns

Joe Goddard from the great Hot Chip released a new solo song/video last week.  It's called "She Burns" and it sounds soooo gooooood!!  The video is great too!!

David Lynch & Lykke Li - I'm Waiting Here

David Lynch & Lykke Li is a match made in heaven.  I don't think there's much more I can ask for...ballad perfection.

The song is some sort of B-side bonus track from Lynch's upcoming album "The Big Dream".

Silver Swans - New Album Teaser + Always Something

Yessssssssss, Silver Swans have just released a teaser for their next album due out this Fall!!  I am so excited because as you know, their 2nd album "Forever" landed in my #5 slot for Best Albums of 2012!

I'm including the EXCELLENT sounding teaser for the new album + the video for beautiful "Forever" closing track "Always Something".  YAY!!

Now, if only I could find "Forever" on CD!

Cold Cave - Black Boots

Cold Cave's new video for cute song "Black Boots" is directed by Slava Tsukerman who made the movie "Liquid Sky" which is much-loved by Rockyboo.  I've never seen the movie but I know the music is weird.  Sadly, the video itself isn't too weird and spends its time focusing on Cold Cave guy's face and then some black boots and then some graffiti and marathon runners...but mostly Cold Cave guy's face.  Either way, I like the song!
